Norseman's Review on the OBS Cheetah II

@Norseman wrote:

I received this RDA free of charge from efun.top for the purpose of this review. Regardless of this, it will not color my opinion on this review in any way, shape or form.

When I received this RDA I had the old Cheetah 22mm in my head and wondered how it would compare in terms of flavor and ease of build. I guess we will find out by the end of this review.

Packaging
The box is pretty clean looking in the colors yellow and white with a photo of the RDA on it. It also has the typical scratch and sniff, together with information on the RDA such as measurements, weight and package contents. It also states what color RDA is inside.

When you remove the sleeve a darker yellow box appears with the OBS logo printed on top. It’s made like a drawer, which gives the packaging a more exclusive feel. When you open that drawer you find the RDA sitting on the right side and to the left you find a yellow box containing all the spares.

Spares
The spares box contains a warning card about atomizer usage, QR-codes and a user manual explaining the RDA, along with a step-by-step guide. It also has the usual set of spare o-rings together with a set of coils, extra grub screws, a blue screwdriver and a sheet of cotton.

The RDA
It is a 24mm 3 piece RDA with a side airflow design and the one I received is gold plated. The drip tip provided is 810 Goon compatible, which will allow you to use any custom Goon tips you might have. It also comes with a low, fat drip tip made out of PEI.

The top cap has knurling on top making it easier to adjust the airflow and the AFC ring has Cheetah II engraved on one side and the two cheetah heads on the other side. Some say that OBS have taken the Goon tiger or whatever it is, altered it a little and used it on the Cheetah - I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

The AFC ring has 2 cyclops slots for air holes and as such it works well and it’s very easy to change the amount of airflow you want. I found that by reducing the airflow you can make the flavor pop a bit more.

The deck itself is gold plated and it looks nice enough. I must say that when comparing the old deck with the new, the post style has undergone a complete makeover. The ease to build in this just makes the whole process fun. It has a clamp system combined with post-holes. The clamps are the lowest ones and when you unscrew the post screw the clamp goes down, making it a breeze to put a coil leg in and to tighten it up. Both the clamps and post holes have enough room to accommodate fairly fancy coils without any issues at all, and even round wire gets caught well by the screws in the upper post-holes.

The juice well is a good size and holds both the cotton and a fair amount of juice. With the air holes being so high up leaking won’t be an issue either - unless you lay the RDA on its side after juicing it up. The way it’s built there is no problem dripping through the drip tip to juice it up, if that’s the way you want do it.

A pet peeve of mine with any RDA is the o-rings, and I cannot stand when o-rings don’t work as intended. But this is not the case with the Cheetah II; the o-rings provide a snug fit, holding everything in place without being too loose or too firm.

A couple more gripes: Firstly, why OBS didn’t make this RDA hybrid compatible? As it is now, the 510 pin barely protrudes and if I were to use this on a hybrid mech mod I would most likely blow my face off - and I kind of like my face and where it’s at. Secondly, why OBS haven’t included a squonking pin? This would easily make it more attractive to a bigger audience, and is a total marketing fail in my opinion.

Assessment
I like the build quality, and the ease to build on it clearly gives it bonus points. Whether the coating is something you like or not is basically up to each and every one getting this, but to be honest I kind of like the gold on the one I have.

So how does it vape you may be wondering? I wouldn’t want to stretch it and say that it is the most flavorful experience I have ever had, since that would be me lying. However, it does provide you with good flavor and dense clouds and that is what matters in the end - getting a good vaping experience.

Can I recommend it to others?
Taking into account the cost of this compared to other RDA’s I would say that it isn’t a bad buy at all.

I’m looking for a nice single 18650 regulated mod for my wife, hoping someone here might have some suggestions.

I found the Silvanusa searching Google for single 18650’s and like the reviews. Wanting some advice here, I searched all of the ELR for it, and GX70 chip it uses, but returned no results. Anyone have a gx70 based mod?

Her only basic requirements are that it’s safe, has wattage mode(no tc needed) and is of higher quality than the her aspire nx7, eleaf, etc… she ususlly vapes around 40 watts, with an Arctic .5ohm.

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nicotine Woes

@SecretService wrote:

Howdy all.
Got a new bottle of 72mg nicotine in PG. Made a couple of 10ml shake & vape recipes at 12mg, vaped them and all was good. Now 12mg makes me sick (not very sick but enough to be concerned) so moved down to 9mg and still made me sick but not as bad, even down to 8mg didn’t help that much. When I was using commercial juice I regularly vaped 18mg and 12mg with no such ill effects. I shake everything thoroughly before I mix and use the e-liquid recipes calculator to mix by weight. I am really stumped as to what the problem is but the funny thing is I had exactly the same problem with the last nicotine I bought (different supplier) except the sickness was MUCH worse. The first few mixes were okay and then I started to get sick. I sent it back assuming the nic content was much higher than stated - though that doesn’t explain the first few recipes being okay. So, I find it very strange that it has happened again with a different supplier. BTW, I’m pretty sure it’s a nicotine issue 'cos I made 2 recipes where the only difference between the two was no nicotine and I don’t react adversely to PG.

Any ideas anyone?

FreeMax FireLuke Subohm tank Review by Mjag...TFV8 killer?

@mjag wrote:

Hi ELR Fam and thanks for taking the time to view my review of the FreeMax Fireluke tank sent to my by Freemax for the purpose of this review.

  • Optional 4mL Juice Capacity - Slimmer Profile

  • Colorful Resin Construction - Resin Colorways

  • 0.15ohm Sextuple Coil - rated for 60-140W
  • RTA Section - Two-Post, Dual Terminal Build Deck

  • 13mm Widebore Drip Tip
  • Gold-Plated 510 Connection

In the box:

  • 1 FireLuke Sub-Ohm Tank

  • 1 RTA Section
  • 1 Replacement Glass Tube - 4mL
  • 2 Prebuilt Clapton Coils
  • 1 Flathead Screwdrivers
  • Spare Parts & O-Rings
  • Instructional Manual

First Impression out of the box

First thing I thought when I saw it is hmmmm, wonder if I can get a little ceramic fish to swim around it in. Looks like it is wearing a top hat too, very regal. The build quality was evident though, nicely machined knurling on both the top cap and AFC ring. The AFC also has indentation stops and moves with just the right amount tension and feels smooth doing so. Nice sized kidney shaped fill holes, about as big as they could make them considering the wide chimney.

Great selection of accessories including a great looking RTA section, nice looking fused claptons, a cotton square, screwdriver and more slim looking 4ml glass section. The owners manual is excellent for a subohm tank but I am a Man so of course I didn’t read it…pffft.

Coils

The only prebuilt coil included in the package is the already installed 0.15 ohm Sextuple coil…I am thinking ohhh, Sexy time. Generally I am not a fan of these multicoil 3 to 15 hole wacked out coils, give me a single wide open coil for massive airflow and when you cut down the air I tend to get better flavor. Well I was surprised at first with the Sextuple coil as I felt it was giving out great flavor right off the bat, it was an eye opener for sure. I tend to vape at higher wattages with long 4 to 5 second draws and chain vape and I began to have some problems with the torture juice I use to gauge wicking. On the 3rd or 4th vape it was easy to get a dry hit if I had it around 100 watts, mind you it is rated to 140 watts. I wound up vaping it at 75 watts most of the time, let me chain vape with my long draws and avoid dry hits.

I want to make it clear that I only received 1 sextuple coil so it could be I just got one that had a defect, friends of mine didn’t have that same problem so I chalk it up to bad luck. I have also run into this problem with some other multi hole coils from different mfg’s so it might be my vape style doesn’t match these style coils.

Well as I said earlier I am more of a fan of the wide open coils and ordered up some of the 0.15 ohm DVC Firelock coils from one of my favorite vendors. When I popped this coil in it was love at first coil, this coil was rocking hard!!! It is rated from 60 to 120 watts but I took this bad boy to 175 watts before it started to beg for mercy but it would take 150 to 160 watts with ease, a really underrated coil. The flavor from the Kanthal DVC .15 coil was spot on delicious when I closed the airflow down to halfway or less. Even with it closed down to a 1/4 open this is one airy tank which I love.

I have had the Fireluke for about 19 days as of this review and the DVC coil has been great for almost 2 weeks, the other time was spent with the RTA section which I will get to in a moment.

I really can’t recommend the DVC enough, great coil and comes in a 0.25 ohm version as well which I may buy next.

RTA or as I like to call it, El Delicioso

When I first laid eyes on the included RTA section I was like…oh hell yeah. The I unscrewed the top and saw it was using flat head screws…ehhh, nothings perfect.
What really got me excited by just looking at it is the 13.5mm opening, like a straight shot to your coils! That usually equates to awesome performance, were talking RDA size opening, a little bigger than the Reload RTA which is a flavor monster.

I used the included Fused Claptons as they looked real nice for something included. I also like to use what is included for my reviews as that is how most people will use them.

As I mentioned earlier I like an airy draw so I positioned the coils to the top of the velocity deck. I also like my coils close to the top, a little splashy splashy never hurt anybody. In reality I don’t get spitback but not as dry as some setups which is what I like.

Wicking was pretty straight forward, just gently get your cotton in there but you should not see it if you are looking directly at the wicking channel, only if you look at an angle to either side to see you wicking.

Looksy, no wick:

Whaaaaaaaaaat, wick to the left and wick to the right:

Now I know what your thinking, he called it El Delicioso so he must hate it since whenever he eats too much hot sauce it is a four alarm fire in the bathroom the next day but you would be wrong my friend.

The RTA performs just as good as it looks and the included Claptons are real good, I got great flavors and chuck some clouds with this bad boy for sure. This is definitely not an afterthought but a well designed RTA section, one of the best that comes included with a sub ohm tank IMO.

E-juice Capacity

Normally I don’t make a section to this but when I found this out I thought it was important to mention. Since the Sextuple and RTA sections are big they take up a lot of room so that is why it is listed as 5ml capacity with the large bubble glass installed and 4ml with the included less bubbly glass if that makes sense?

Well that is not the case if you use the much slimmer and sexier DVC my friends. I measured 6ml capacity with the 4ml glass installed and a little over 7ml with the 5ml bubble gum machine glass.

Check out the size difference of the coils, DVC in the middle:

Here is the difference between the 5ml bubble glass:

And the 4ml slim shady version:

Comparison to the TFV8

Early on while using the Fireluke with the DVC coil I thought hmmmmm, let me throw a fresh Q4 coil into one of my TFV8’s for a comparison as I was feeling this was better. Both coils are .15 ohm so I ran them side by side with identical mods and the same juice. Right off the bat I felt the Fireluke had the edge with flavor, I was just able to make out the different flavors in the juice better, almost like my juice was in 4K HD. The TFV8 is no slouch though and it probably needed more break in so I went through about 10 thankfuls each in the span of a week, at the watts I was vaping at it wasn’t a problem. Near the end with the TFV8 coil nicely broken in I have to say that I wondered if I was vaping the same juice, I of course was using the same bottle but the TFV8 had a weird secondary flavor that I know was not in the DIY juice I mixed myself for this comparison. The Fireluke from beginning to end had the same great flavor the entire time and it is still going strong.

Wide open they both have about the same airflow, maybe a slight edge to the Fireluke but really it is too close to call. When the airflow was shut down halfway which is were I normally like it for a flavor boost the Fireluke’s airflow was smoother and not as noisy as the TFV8.

I didn’t compare the RTA sections of both tanks, I just thought the TFV8’s RTA was OK but not great, prefer the Q4 prebuilt overall. That is not the case with the Fireluke RTA though, that might be better than the DVC, it is that good.

Overall I like the Fireluke better and I have 3 TFV8’s which I have always enjoyed. I do feel the Fireluke is an upgrade over the TFV8, it is not night and day but I enjoy using it better and it has a better RTA section for sure.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent juice capacity if using the DVC, can hold 6ml with the 4ml glass and 7ml+ with 5ml glass
  • Excellent flavor and clouds from both coils
  • Solid build quality
  • Excellent RTA section with very good claptons included
  • Comfortable top cap with delrin even at the top to guard against crispy crunchy bacon lips
  • Comes in either metal or epoxy version to get all matchey matchey

Cons

  • I guess the looks but with the 4ml slimmer glass it looks good to me
  • You can use your 510 drip tips if you take off the top cap but then you have the oring showing, people might laugh at you and say…ohhhhh I see your oring all exposed to the world…oh the shame.
  • Wasn’t able to chain vape the Sextuple coil for long without dry hits at higher watts
  • Would be nice if it was 810 drip tip compatible but have to admit, the top cap has grown on me and I like it

Conclusion

When I first got it I was unsure and made fun of the old time gumball machine look. As I began to use it though I really began to appreciate how good this tank is with the DVC and the included RTA. I am a flavor junky and the Fireluke delivers. The DVC is still going strong as well after 2 weeks of heavy use, that is great life for a high powered tank, I averaged about 110 watts the whole time.

Would I recommend this tank to a friend, hell yeah I would and already have. Would I buy another if I lost this one, I am going to buy another anyway just in case that day ever comes, need a purple resin to match my Funky 160 mod.

I would like to thank Freemax for sending me this tank to review, it was a real eye opener and I am going to buy another for sure.

Pics on various mods

5ml mode on iJoy Zenith, great combo

4ml mode from here on out

NicVape E-Flavors Tasting Notes

@JoJo wrote:

@NicVape sent me their line of flavors to try awhile back and I’ve finally finished the month long SF test for the first half. I hope someone finds some of these notes useful. I know my “style” isn’t super descriptive and a little all over the place, but I tried to include %s I think would be good, my thoughts, and what I’d rate them. All these notes are also in the ELR database.

I mixed these at 4%, 40/60 PG/VG, no nic, and tested on my Kylin RTA with a single coil ~0.6ohms.
The format is:
Flavor Name | Rating | Single % | Mixing %
Notes

1 = Gross or unusable, wouldn’t buy.
2 = Not great, but possibly tweakable, prob still wouldn’t buy
3 = Decent, probably good for mixing, would buy for a specific purpose
4 = Good, definitely for mixing, maybe as a single flavor, would buy unless I already had a better one
5 = Fantastic for mixing and probably as a single flavor, would definitely buy

Almond | 1 | 0.0% | 1.0%
1 day - Tastes like almond scented nail polish remover.
1 week - Still kinda tastes like soap and/or alcohol.
2 weeks - Same.
3 weeks - Same. Think this one is a miss.
4 weeks - Same. This is very chemically and soapy. Not very good. MAYBE with a lower % it could be usable, but I don’t think so.

Almond (Toasted) | 3 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 day - Definitely toasted nut, but more peanut butter than almond.
1 week - Getting more of a toasted almond rather than peanut butter now.
2 weeks - Same. It’s a very nice toasted almond flavor. I like it.
3 weeks - Very nutty. Not a sweet almond, but reminiscent of almond at least.
4 weeks - Same. Nutty, slightly sweet, doesn’t scream almond, but is pretty good nonetheless.

Apple Fritter | 4 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 day - definitely getting the apple. A slight chemical/alcohol back note. The “fritter” is very faint.
1 week - more fritter, a lot of apple, slight cinnamon. Overall, a very nice flavor so far.
2 weeks - Oh man, wow. Really got nice. Definitely getting that apple cinnamon vibe here. Pastry is most intense on the first hit and initial tongue taste. The sense of it fades kind of quickly. Tastes like one of those apple pie things you get at a gas station or McDonalds.
3 weeks - The apple filling is still the main note here. Cinnamon is a little more intense. Pastry still kind of a back note.
4 weeks - Same as 3. Apple filling and cinnamon are strong, but the baked/fried and fritter notes could use a little help from something like pie crust or fried dough and maybe some Liquid Amber.

Banana | 3 | 3.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - somewhere between a realistic and candy. A medicine/alcohol note. If that goes away, it’ll be a nice flavor.
1 week - Pretty much the same. Still some medicine or something. Kinda like what I get from FA banana.
2 weeks - Same, it is somewhere between LB and FA banana. Not a totally bad thing but that slight chemmy back note is kinda meh.
3 weeks - Same. A candy banana with almost a cough syrup undertone.
4 weeks - The medicinal/chem taste has definitely mellowed out. I get a hint of it every once in awhile, but this is mostly still something between a candy and a real banana. Not quite a sweet, ripe banana but sweeter and more candy like than the bitter banana I get from FA.

Bavarian Cream | 4 | 5.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Creamy feel, slightly sweet, a little vanilla and a back note of coconut. Nice.
1 week - Same. Sweet and creamy. Coconut is pretty much gone.
2 weeks - First hit almost has an Old Bay Seasoning/Crab taste to it now. The rest is sweet and creamy.
3 weeks - Still get a hint of old bay every once in awhile which is odd, but it’s a good bavarian in spite of that.
4 weeks - Of the cream type flavors in this first half, this is the best one. I don’t get any trace of BA. It’s not a super creamy mouthfeel, very light, slightly sweet.

Blackberry | 3 | 3.5% | 2.0%
1 Day - Nice dark berry scent, slight sweetness, a little soapy and tart on the exhale.
1 week - Same. Sweet fruity berry, little soapy.
2 weeks - same. Still a little soapy/plasticy.
3 weeks - Same again. Sweet and berry with a soapy back note.
4 weeks - Soap is less and I think if the percentage were lowered it wouldn’t be noticeable at all. Otherwise it is a decent tart, blackberry.

Blue Raz | 4 | 4.5% | 3.0%
1 day - Definitely getting the blue raspberry blow pop vibe. Tart berry, not much sweetness, slight alcohol note. 1 week - Less alcohol. Decent blue raz flavor here.
2 weeks - Less alcohol but less potent as well. Still decent flavor but has weakened some in oomph.
3 weeks - Same. Still a good flavor, but less intense than it was at first.
4 weeks - Same. I don’t think this could be a stand alone, but I think it’d be a great mixer if you’re looking for a blue raz blow pop or slush.

Blueberry | 2 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Definite berry, slightly sweet, slightly tart, a little floral, and feels kinda like it has a tiny bit of menthol or cooling agent.
1 week - Still getting a menthol from this. Tart, slightly sweet.
2 weeks - Still tart and slightly sweet, a berry overtone. Menthol has almost vanished.
3 weeks - Same. This should be called Icy Blueberry. Still a bit of a mint or menthol tingle. The blueberry part is very nice though.
4 weeks - Still slightly menthol and tastes more like a rhubarb than a blueberry.

Blueberry (Wild) | 4 | 5.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - really nice, almost candy or jammy blueberry. Maybe a smidgen floral.
1 week - same. Sweet blueberry, slightly floral.
2 weeks - Really nice, sweet and still slightly floral. This one also seems to have lost a tiny bit of potency. Must be a berry thing.
3 weeks - Same. Not as potent as SnV but a very nice sweet blueberry.
4 weeks - Same. SnV was best, but it’s still a very good blueberry. Bordering on candy, but not quite syrup.

Bourbon | 5 | 4.0% | 1.0%
1 Day - Definitely tastes like bourbon, alcohol and all. Slightly woody and musty.
1 week - Very much bourbon. Less musty.
2 weeks - Woody, alcoholic, bourbon. Almost makes me ill vaping it and remembering all the times I drank Jim Beam and puked my guts up.
3 weeks - same. Very alcoholic and woody. Tastes just like bourbon.
4 weeks - This is straight up bourbon whiskey. Not the kind of thing I wanna vape by itself, but I can see it being really good in mixes. It’s woody and alcoholic. The dusty/musty taste has dissipated and for what it is, it’s fantastic.

Bubble Gum | 4 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - Tastes just like bubble gum, with the powder/chalky outer level and all.
1 week - still bubblegum but tastes a little like fruit gum now.
2 weeks - fruity gum for sure. Still getting that bubble gum flavor but with a slight fruit overtone.
3 weeks - tastes like bubblegum with a little fruit.
4 weeks - same. Really nice bubblegum flavor. I’m not super into bubblegum but its pretty good.

Butterscotch | 2 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - If I had to guess, I’d say this is a BA butterscotch. Not super sweet and getting that off note that I get with BA.
1 week - Still getting a bit of BA and otherwise not much. Pretty nondescript.
2 weeks - still pretty much the same.
3 weeks - still getting the BA note but not much else besides sweet.
4 weeks - Still slight sourness from the BA is definitely less. I think it might go away in another week or so. Not gross, but it’s still not buttery enough to be a good butterscotch.

Cantaloupe | 3 | 5.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Tastes like a vaguely melon flavored candy. Very sweet, but not much cantaloupe.
1 week - Same. A little sweet and melony but not super strong.
2 weeks - Same. I actually kinda like this a lot. It’s not overly syrupy.
3 weeks - This is yummy. Melon for sure, a little more like cantaloupe but not completely realistic.
4 weeks - Same. Kind of what I imagine a melon smartie would taste like. It’s got that chalky candy flavor.

Cappuccino | 1 | 0.0% | 1.0%
1 Day - Not awful. Slightly nutty, chocolatey, sweet, and creamy. A bit of that fakey powdered cap mix taste. Maybe a bit of BA. Not much coffee.
1 week - same. Very powdery, slightly nutty and chocolatey in a tootsie roll way.
2 weeks - not crazy about this right now. It’s still got that powdery tootsie flavor and some BA.
3 weeks - Same. This is not one of my favorite flavors at all. Kinda makes me feel sick like the EF Nougat
4 weeks - Same. Powder, nut, tootsie roll, and some sicky back note I don’t like.

Caramel Candy | 2 | 6.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - Mostly just sweet. A little bit of that sticky throat hit.
1 week - Same as before.
2 weeks - very sweet, slight caramel tones.
3 weeks - same. Very sweet, slight dark caramel notes. Sticky throat hit.
4 weeks - Same. Like the butterscotch, this isn’t horrible, but it’s not quite intense enough to be great. It’s more of a generic sweetness with a sticky throat hit. The caramel is very slight. Would work as a general sweetener used similar to a brown sugar maybe. Otherwise, sort of boring.

Carolina Tobacco | 5 | 5.0% | 2.5%
1 Day - Nutty, a little creamy, leafy. Very nice.
1 week - Same. Really nice tobacco flavor.
2 weeks - Seriously yummy nutty leafy tobacco.
3 weeks - Sweet, leafy, nutty.
4 weeks - Same. This is a really good tobacco IMO. Good enough to be a stand alone, but versatile enough to be a good mixer.

Champagne | 2 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - Slightly fruity/wine taste. Maybe a tiny bit of fizz but not very much.
1 Week - Same. Fruity wine.
2 weeks - same. Nice but not super spectacular.
3 weeks - same. It’s okay, but not one I see myself using that often.
4 weeks - Same. Slightly fruity and sweet. Not spectacular. Might work best as a sweetener for fruits.

Cheesecake | 1 | 0.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Not liking this at all yet. Kinda chalky, very stinky/BA, slightly burnt tasting.
1 week - same.
2 weeks - yeah still kinda gross. 3 weeks - Burned chalky vomit yuck.
4 weeks - Vomit is lessened but still getting a footy, chalky, burned taste. This is a miss for me.

Cherry | 3 | 3.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Cough Syrup.
1 week - Straight up nyquil.
2 weeks - same.
3 weeks - sweeter. Still tastes medicinal but I think at a lower % it might be useable.
4 weeks - Same. Sweeter still and the cough syrup has seriously faded. It’s still noticeable, but I could see this potentially becoming a decent cherry with time and/or lower %s and some backup. I’m sufficiently intrigued enough to keep playing with this one.

Clementine | 5 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - Really nice orange. Sweet. Kinda reminds me of Tang.
1 week - Definitely one of the best orange flavors I’ve tried. Doesn’t make me cough, tastes like a sweet, juicy orange.
2 weeks - Same. One of the best oranges I’ve had. Definitely a good citrus taste without the bite or throat tickle.
3 weeks - Same. Very nice orange flavor.
4 weeks - Same. This definitely is more of a Sunny D or Tang and less of an orange juice.

Coconut | 4 | 3.0% | 1.5%
1 Day - Decent dessert coconut flavor, but not super sweet. Slight sunscreen note, but otherwise not bad at all.
1 week - Still getting some sunscreen vibes. At lower %s or with some steep that might go away.
2 weeks - Still very intense. I think a lower amount would be better and it might be a good coconut after all.
3 weeks - Mellowed some. I like this a lot.
4 weeks - Good, but intense. Still getting a slight alcohol/sunscreen vibe, but I think a lower % and this would shine.

Coconut Smoothie | 3 | 3.5% | 2.0%
1 Day - Kinda tastes like a lighter version of the coconut. Not quite as pronounced.
1 Week - Less like the other coconut now. More sweet and creamy coconut.
2 weeks - same. A sweet and creamy coconut flavor. Very nice.
3 weeks - Gotten a little harsher. I think I might like the other coconut better now.
4 weeks - Good, sweet and creamy. Still a little more intense than it started out, which is really odd.

Coffee | 3 | 3.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Smells just like coffee, a slight burn and ash taste, overall not terrible. I think this might be a decent coffee flavor in the end.
1 Week - Same. Pretty decent flavor.
2 weeks - Same. A bit of a nutty burned flavor. At a slightly lower percent and mixed well it could be a good coffee flavor.
3 weeks - Same. This isn’t a great coffee, but for some reason I really like it.
4 weeks - There is something oddly intriguing about this flavor. I’m interested in playing with it a little. It’s almost a hazelnut coffee. It’s nutty and slightly burned but it’s not bad.

Cotton Candy | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - I realize this is likely just EM like other cotton candy flavors, I was just curious what a SF cotton candy would be like. It does smell exactly like cotton candy. Relatively sweet, too.
1 week - same. Punch in the throat sweetness and definitely makes me think fairground.
2 weeks - same.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Same. Smells like CC, tastes like sugar.

Cranberry | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - slightly sweet, mostly tart and soapy/floral.
1 week - not as floral, but doesn’t taste much like cranberry.
2 weeks - still a little soapy, tart berry aftertaste.
3 weeks - same. Tart berry with a slight soap flavor.
4 weeks - Soap is gone and this is now a very nice tart cranberry flavor. It took awhile, but I really like this one.

Cream | 2 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - creamy, sweet, and slightly sour. Guessing it’s BA again. It’s not wildly off-putting though, so I think it’ll be okay in the end.
1 week - the tart/sour has started to fade. Very good cream mouthfeel. Not hugely sweet.
2 weeks - again, great creamy mouthfeel but still got a bit of the sour BA taste.
3 weeks - a little sweeter than I remember last week, but still sour.
4 weeks - This is a miss, it’s sweet and has a cream mouthfeel, but that burned BA flavor is here just like it was in the cheesecake. Gonna call this a slight miss. Better than a 1 star, but only slightly.

Creme de Menthe | 5 | 4.5% | 2.0%
1 Day - this is a more authentic creme de menthe than Flavorah. It’s straight sweet mint without any kind of chocolate note. It’s a very nice mild peppermint.
1 week - I like this a lot. Very soft creamy mint.
2 weeks - agreed. Lovely creamy mint.
3 weeks - Same. Sweet vanilla mint.
4 weeks - Same. This is very nice.

Dark Fruit | 5 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - I have no idea what this is supposed to be, but it’s really good. Definitely dark and fruity, slightly floral, almost a tobacco note.
1 week - same. Really nice flavor.
2 weeks - Same. This is a delightfully fruity floral flavor.
3 weeks - Same. Pretty sure this will be one of my favorite flavors.
4 weeks - Dark, floral, fruity, slightly tart and not overly sweet.

Dark Raz | 5 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Surprisingly good jammy raspberry. Sweet/tart, slightly floral, scent is perfectly on point. I get a similar note that I get from Inawera’s Bahraini Apple Gold.
1 week - really one of the best raspberries I’ve tried so far. Not super potent or tart, but very nice.
2 weeks - same. This is a kicking raspberry.
3 weeks - Same again. so very tasty.
4 weeks - Definitely the best raspberry I’ve had. Sweet and tart dark berry.

Dragon Fruit | 4 | 5.0% | 2.5%
1 Day - Different. I’m not super familiar with dragon fruits so not sure how this compares. Tart, slightly earthy/bitter, a little floral/soapy, sweet and slightly jammy/juicy. Very strange, but I think I like it.
1 week - same. A little earthy, tart, bitter, and sweet.
2 weeks - same. Earthy, almost has a mango or papaya note. Nice.
3 weeks - Same. Slightly earthy, sweet, less intense than the Flavorah. I like it.
4 weeks - Earthy, slightly tart and bitter, a little sweet. Sort of mild and a tad melony. I like it.

Energy Drink (Beast) | 3 | 3.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - First instinct is that it tastes like the frosting licked off the end of a just blown out candle. There’s a waxy sweetness plus a weird carbon back note.
10 days - still a little waxy tasting, but more fruity and like an energy drink now.
2 weeks - still has that waxy thing going on but now it’s more of a frosting. Fruit too.
3 weeks - Tastes like frosting and energy drink.
4 weeks - Not energy drink really. Slightly fruity, juicy, and the waxiness is still there only it tastes a little bit more like chocolate than frosting now. It’s very strange but not awful.

Energy Drink (Red) | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
1 Day - Melony tasting. Sweet. Lil bit of that b-vitamin energy drink flavor.
10 days - Pretty much tastes like a red bull.
2 weeks - cantaloupe or watermelon red bull.
3 weeks - Melons and b vitamins.
4 weeks - Same. Melon red bull. It’s not bad. Kinda nice.

English Toffee | 3 | 5.0% | 3.0%
1 Day - Smells just like toffee, slightly sweet, has a bit of an absinthe/licorice note to it.
10 days - same. Smells just like toffee, sweet, slight absinthe note.
2 weeks - mildly sweet, weak, a little smoky.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Getting a little more of the dark toffee notes, but it’s coming across more like a caramel than a toffee. Would make a good sweetener, but other than that I’m not getting much.

Fine Cuban Tobacco | 5 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - This is a pretty floral tobacco. Reminds me of the Flavorah Virginia. There’s another leafy/earthy note I can’t quite identify. May turn into something really great.
10 days - Same. Very floral, almost soap, but it’s really nice. I think it’ll be very good. That taste that I can’t identify is still there. I think it might be something like cedar or sandalwood. It’s nice.
2 weeks - There is definitely some sort of wood and something slightly herbal and earthy in this. This is very good. I like it a lot.
3 weeks - Same. I’m really loving this one.
4 weeks - Woody, floral, earthy, leafy, slight cardboard, and slight sweetness.

French Vanilla | 2 | 5.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - Very mild vanilla flavor.
10 days - Getting a BA/slightly burned plastic taste.
2 weeks - still mild and slightly plastic.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Still a slight BA plastic flavor. Vanilla is present but not intense. Not awful, but not fantastic.

Fruit | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - Definitely a “fruit punch” kind of flavor. Maybe some apple, coconut, melon, berry? Very sweet.
10 days - Melon and berry and still some apple. Very fruity and sweet.
2 weeks - Very fruity and juicy. I like this.
3 weeks - Same. Very nice.
4 weeks - Fruit punch. Slightly floral. Not bad.

Gourmet Cinnamon | 1 | 0.0% | 0.0%
2 Days - Cinnamon scented soap or potpourri. Tingle on the tongue tastes more cool/minty than spicy. Not great. May need to steep or significantly lower %. Not a SnV.
10 days - Definitely menthol. Slightly spicy. 4% is probably way too much.
2 weeks - Same. This is way more like menthol than cinnamon.
3 weeks - Same. Spicy mint. Someone missed the mark on making this flavor.
4 weeks - Menthol soap potpourri. This is gross.

Grape | 3 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - Not a realistic grape, maybe more like a grape wax chew. Little bit of a dirt back note? Getting that same odd birthday candle flavor. I can’t figure this one out. Website says “Not a candy grape” and reviews say cough syrup.
10 days - Tastes like grape bubblicious.
2 weeks - same.
3 weeks - Same. Grape gum or taffy.
4 weeks - Same. I don’t know if it is because I’m using it too high, but it’s definitely right on the money for a grape bubble gum or grape laffy taffy. In that sense, it’s very good, but for a normal grape like a grape soda or grape juice this misses the mark.

Green Apple | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - Definitely can get green apple from this. I think this one could go either way—realistic or candy—depending on what you pair it with. It’s very sweet, but not quite candy or syrup.
10 days - Sweet, slightly tart. Same as before, could go either way depending on how it is mixed.
2 weeks - Same. Slight floral note now, but not bad.
3 weeks - Same. I really like this apple flavor.
4 weeks - Pretty good. Tartness has diminished and it doesn’t scream apple, but I think it’d be a great mixer and very versatile flavor.

Green Tea | 3 | 3.0% | 1.0%
2 Days - Definitely green and leafy, almost grassy. Slightly sweet. A little herbal/floral but not quite tea. Intriguing and interested to see how this steeps.
10 days - Same. Green, grassy, sweet, floral.
2 weeks - Same. I still feel intrigued. I can’t decide if I like this or not. It kinda tastes like incense.
3 weeks - Same. Definitely odd, but there’s something about it I really like.
4 weeks - Same. If taken for something other than tea, this is a really intriguing flavor. It’s possible I have the % entirely too high and that’s causing the soap/incense flavor. I want to play with it more and see what I can do with it. Definitely not a flavor for someone who doesn’t like florals/herbals/etc.

Guava | 3 | 3.0% | 1.0%
2 Days - I get the guava. Lil bit earthy and bitter. Not super sweet.
10 days - Same. Tastes about like I remember guava juice tasting.
2 weeks - Same. Still a little earthy and bitter, a little more sweet, definitely got the guava going on.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Earthy, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, slightly tropical. Interesting. Not a stand alone, but possibly a good mixer.

Gummy Candy | 4 | 5.0% | 3.0%
2 Days - Sticky sweet throat hit. No real pronounced flavor but definitely a gummy bear scent and vibe.
10 days - Same.
2 weeks - Same again.
3 weeks - Sweet and nondescript flavor-wise. Good for a gummy candy.
4 weeks - Same. Sweet, gummy feel, no real flavor.

Hazelnut | 4 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - Nice mild, nutty flavor. Definite hazelnut. Almost waxy but not quite. Looking forward to seeing how this one changes over time.
10 Days - Waxy seems to have gone away. Definitely tastes like hazelnut. It’s very nice.
2 weeks - same. Good hazelnut, not super sweet, slight wax/plastic is back. Think the % needs to be a little lower on this one.
3 weeks - Same. Nutty but slightly waxy.
4 weeks - Definitely a sweet hazelnut. A little bit of waxiness still, but an excellent flavor.

Honey Crisp Cereal | 5 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - wow, I’m thoroughly impressed with this one. Does what it says on the tin and does it really well. If this steeps well, it’ll be a fantastic SA or addition to anything needing a honey grain flavor. Ever so slight floral back note.
10 Days - Tastes just like Honey Bunches of Oats. I don’t know what more I could ask for here.
2 weeks - This is seriously fantastic. Spot on, great oat/grain flavor, sweet honey goodness. No milk, which I like.
3 weeks - I am absolutely in love with this flavor. The honey and grain flavors are perfectly balanced. The lack of a milk or cream aspect makes this really versatile. It’s yummy.
4 weeks - This is amazing. I don’t even like cereals and I love this flavor. Top notch here.

Honey Vanilla | 4 | 4.0% | 1.5%
2 Days - Tastes a lot better than it initially smelled. Tastes like honey, but I think it would benefit from a steep.
10 Days - Good. Honey and slight vanilla. I think there’s a hint of clover or that slightly floral or funky note but it is pretty good.
2 weeks - Same.
3 weeks - Same. Clover honey is the main thing here with a sweet throat hit. Vanilla is slight and in the background.
4 weeks - Same as 3. This is very much honey with a slight vanilla in the background. It has that weird scent that I think turns people off from honey flavors, but it doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t remind me of cat pee like I’ve heard people describe, just that funky flavor honey sometimes has.

Honeydew Melon | 5 | 5.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - This has a woody/herbal note to it, but it’s not bad. I get the honeydew melon but it’s pretty far in the back.
10 Days - Decent. It’s a little strange, but I like it okay.
2 weeks - This almost tastes more like a green tea than the green tea. Did I mix up the green tea and the honeydew or something??
3 weeks - If I don’t think about this a honeydew melon, this is a really great flavor. It’s mild, slightly sweet, still reminds me more of what I’m wanting from a tea than a melon. If there’s any melon here, it’s way in the back.
4 weeks - I really don’t get this as a melon, but as a nice, light, almost floral flavor it is fantastic. It really does remind me more of tea than the green tea did. When used in that way, I think this will be a supremely useful flavor.

Irish Cream | 3 | 5.0% | 3.0%
2 Days - really mild. Irish is there, but it’s mostly sweet and creamy. The liqueur part is way in the back.
10 Days - same. Sweet and creamy.
2 weeks - More of the dark Irish liqueur coming through now. Still a nice sweet cream up front.
3 weeks - same. Up front is the sweet cream, back note is the darker Irish cream part.
4 weeks - one of the weaker flavors in the bunch. I still don’t get a ton of Irish from this, mostly still just a sweet cream.

Kentucky Tobacco | 3 | 5.0% | 3.0%
2 Days - Slight honey nuttiness, a little darker and less floral than the Fine Cuban. Not much of a ‘leafy’ or ashy flavor. Strong throat hit from something, maybe the sweet.
10 Days - Same.
2 weeks - Same. Honey with maybe a slight tobacco back note.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Still faint on the flavor; what’s there is a honey nut.

Kiwi | 3 | 4.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - The EuroFlavor Kiwi had me scared to try this one as the smell was similar but the taste is way different. This isn’t quite a kiwi (yet), it tastes more like the rind from a watermelon and a hint of plastic. But, I think it might develop into a really nice flavor.
10 Days - not bad. Very fruity. Not sure what this is. I guess it is a kiwi but I dunno.
2 weeks - sweet, fruity, a little bit of plastic, kiwi is a lil more prominent but still in the back.
3 weeks - Same.
4 weeks - Pretty much the same. A little more kiwi flavored now, still a little plastic.

Lemon | 5 | 5.0% | 3.0%
2 Days - Wow. One of the best lemons I’ve had to date. I did not have high hopes for this one, but they nailed it.
10 Days - Lemon heads, it’s very nice. Definitely lemon. Getting a hint of pledge now that I hope goes away cuz it was so awesome SnV.
2 weeks - Yummy. Pledgy taste went away. Might have been in my head before.
3 weeks - Really great lemon. Sweet, not tart or sour. Very nice.
4 weeks - Very good sweet lemon flavor. Great for lemon candy or dessert but not for a sour or tart lemon.

Lime | 5 | 5.0% | 3.0%
2 Days - Nice lime, slight scrubbing bubbles scent, not as bang on as the lemon. On the sweet side. Overall, very nice.
10 Days - Really nice lime. A little sweet still. Scrubbing bubbles is gone.
2 weeks - Same. Nice, sweet lime. Not sour at all.
3 weeks - Sweet lime, slight sour/tartness and a bit of chalkiness showing now.
4 weeks - Less chalk, sweet and slightly sour, great lime flavor. More candy, less authentic.

Maple | 3 | 5.0% | 2.0%
2 Days - not as intense as I was expecting based on the smell. The essence of maple is there, not abundantly sweet up front, slightly woody. It’s nice, but it’s not in-your-face maple syrup. The throat hit and aftertaste have the sticky sweetness.
10 Days - Very much same as 2. Woody, sweet, mapley, not too syrupy.
2 weeks - same. Sweet, slight woody back note, maple scent, not syrupy.
3 weeks - same. Maple woody scent, not much actual flavor, not super sweet.
4 weeks - same. Smells just like maple syrup on the exhale, but the inhale is just mildly sweet and woody. This would make me and anyone around me crave pancakes, but it doesn’t actually taste like much.

Maraschino Cherry | 1 | 3.0% | 1.0%
2 Days - I was both anxious and hopeful about this one. Anxious because cherry (esp maraschino) is infamous and hopeful because so many of the NV flavors have surprised me. Not this one. This one’s cheap cherry cough syrup for sure. Maybe a lower % or good steep would help.
10 Days - Same. Sad pandas. Almost even has that mentholated vibe going.
2 weeks - same. slight rancid oil flavor almost. This one is gross.
3 weeks - still pretty awful. Maybe a lower % would help. I dunno.
4 weeks - Still really medicinal. I don’t know how this could improve, but I haven’t given up completely.

Flavor Revolution Tasting Notes

@Pentine wrote:

Did not see a tasting notes thread for flavor revolution, so I figured I would start one. Just got my first four flavors from them today.

If anyone has some thoughts on them, please put them in here. Hoping this company will be a good addition to our collections.

I have Blue Raspberry, Graham Cracker, Mango, and Watermelon. They say to use them around 2% as they are very concentrated, but I am going to start at 3%, just in case.

Will leave my notes here as soon as I get some put together.

Serpent BF RDA - Does this come in man size?

@woftam wrote:

This item was provided by https://www.heavengifts.com/ to @steampugs the fact that it was provided free of charge will not have any impact on this review.

First impressions:

Ok lets get one thing out of the way first 22mm rda are not really my thing I much prefer something a little bigger (resisting a ‘That’s what she said’ is quite hard but I think I managed it, dammit no I didn’t). Serpent to me conjures up images of a huge snake of unholy proportions (turns out it actually refers to any snake so something new learned today). This is by far the smallest rda I have in both girth and height (22mm w x 30mm h) - I will try not to let that alone be the defining focus of this review.

Package Contents:

The Serpent comes in a standard box with 3 mystery bags, with a 510 drip tip attached (with an adapter) and a ultem wide bore drip tip.

Serpent BF RDA
Extra grub screws & O rings
3 Coils
Filler plug (to fill the spare well if you want to use a single coil).
Tri Tool - good and long.
User Manual
Japanese Cotton.
Tshirt give away card

Thoughts & Observations:

The build quality is good no sharp edges or crunchy threads however the inside of the deck mainly the base of the juice wells looks rough not a huge big deal just aesthetically displeasing, no funny smells but as with all new gear a cycle in the usc is a must. After a quick dissemble & clean it is time to have a play.

The coils that come with it ohm out @ .6ohm 3mm id (so .3 with 2 fitted) this doesn’t work for me due to the fact I am testing on a coppervape BF (single 18650 mech mod) and I hate waiting for coils to ramp.

Enter a couple of half staggered fused claptons ohming out at .1 2.5mm i.d. (Don’t try this at home unless you are using batteries you know will handle the draw and you are familiar with ohms law). I dry fired on my tester all good attached to the coppervape and nothing happened after a little futzing around we have ignition yay.

Squonk a bit of juice up make sure all is good - no leaks yay number 2. Be aware that a super soaked cotton (or in my case rayon) will give you a red hot shot of lava right to the tongue this RDA is so short a little too much juice will make for a less than pleasant experience.

The deck is pretty nice the juice wells are fairly deep and the squonk pin is quite high allowing it to hold a fair amount of juice. Considering it diminutive size it was relatively easy to build on (well it was made a lot easier when I used my magnifying visor due to the fact my eyes are not quite what they used to be).

How does it vape?

The flavour is great mainly due to the proximity of the drip tip to the coils.
My pet hate is whistling RDA’s and while this one is only a little whistly it still whistled - I adjusted the coil height a little to try to get it to a minimum but it really had little effect. I am sure that playing with it a little more I can get it to stfu.

Pros & Cons:

On the plus side

  • Good flavour.
  • Deep juice wells.
  • Goon size drip tip.
  • 510 adapter.
  • Easy to build despite the deck size.
  • No leaking.
  • Single or dual coil capable.

Cons
On the down side.

  • Maybe the inclusion of a non bottom feed pin would be a good idea.
  • Hard to take the top cap off.
  • Drip tip is a little short for me probably due to the low build I put in.
  • Over saturated coils will give lava mouth (now this is the same for a lot of toppers but as this one is so short I think the effect is multiplied).

Would I buy it?
Well initially probably not due to the 22mm size, however, after vaping on it I think discounting it due to its size would be a mistake the flavour is great and the quality of the build is good. I think that this is quite a good little unit. So if you squonk put it on your list for a look - it may just surprise you.

Size comparison

Just for information only here is a pecker measuring contest between the goon and the Serpent BF.

You can grab it here Serpent BF RDA for USD 29.99
This review with scores will be on Streampugs shortly

I had a few emails that I had saved. One of them was from Aris, and he had found a warning for a chemical called “Furfuryl alcohol”, which is used in these TPA flavors:

Source: https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/specsheetlist.aspx?cas=98-00-0

It is listed as a cancer causing chemical: https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/chemicals/furfuryl-alcohol

As always, I just put the warnings there, and let you guys decide if you want to vape it or not

Thanks to Aris for brigning it to my attention!

If you guys know any other manufacturers that uses this chemical, or any other warnings that might be missing, please let me know!

I know there are several factors as to how long a coil lasts but is there a type that generally lasts a good amount of time?

Also any wicking tips would be appreciated:))

Expanding Glass?

@Mizzz_Z_Hobbit wrote:

A little background, I love my original Target tanks! They look like this.

I stocked up on replacement glass mostly to get the spare black O-rings.

My all day every day tank is black, using the replacement black O-rings instead of red. (It’s bad ass!)

I’ve had this tank performing flawlessly for six months until a couple weeks ago it started to leak a little as I filled it. It’s a bottom fill so it was the top O- ring that was leaking, it’s still flawless while in use. I do the whole disassemble cleaning fairly often and noticed the last time that the glass seemed really lose going back on the tank. I figured the O-rings were just wearing out and replaced them, using the original glass and it still seemed really lose. I took the original glass off and put on the replacement glass and it’s snug as a bug. Curious? I tried this original glass on a different tank and yep, it’s lose.

What the hell? Is this really a thing?

Pugsley's Ironically named review of the unbelievable DEJAVU RDTA

Odd title for a review I know…nothing new there though…but still…why ironic?..

Well we are all familiar with the feeling of Dejavu …sorry…Déjà vu…as the french say, simply meaning ‘seen before’ …well…although RDTA’s are obviously something we have all seen many times over…I will guarantee you right now…that you have never seen anything like the item I am going to show you today…

From the moment I clapped eyes on this masterpiece I was in vape feels heaven…my eyes turned to love hearts and a quartet of little birdies came and sat on my shoulder singing their sweet angelic hearts out…Oh yeah …I had it real bad…and I don’t even like RDTA’s…To my utter surprise however I was kindly offered one for review (Bullshit you threatened to burn her house down if she didn’t send you one within 36hrs) and once I had that lovely tracking number I sat and prayed to everything I don’t believe in that this time…the DHL truck wouldn’t get stolen…again…(true story…farewell Aegis)…The next few days were obviously torturous as anyone expecting vape mail thoroughly understands but this was more…by the time the DHL man finally arrived I was a gibbering wreck…

safe to say I don’t think he’ll be coming again.

All this drama…for one RDTA…what the actual fuck is wrong with me?..(ooh don’t pull that thread)

Designed by another Youtube reviewer as seems to be the trend ‘de jour’ …only this time from over in Malaysia, The talented and completely fucking mental Adrian Lo Dejavu…I’ll put bets on that not being his real name…regardless…this motherfucker knows how to design an RDTA…and once I stop fangirling the shit outa this…I might just get round to showing it to you…

The DEJAVU RDTA …(honestly I promise you I’m not shouting…I don’t even give a shit if it’s meant to be in capitals I’m not doing it)…is a 24mm at the base tapering up to a 25mm around the waist, 2ml capacity, bottom and side airflow, dual coil device that has quite simply driven in from nowhere …as smug as you like… into the world of RDTA’s…and stuck its fingers up at every single one of them with a justifiable arrogance…

I mean just look at it…

If I was an RDTA out on the market right now the sinking feeling I’d get when laying my eyes on this beauty would literally come out of my arse…The RDTA has been perfected…find an open window…

I know I know…‘Perfect?..really??’ …It’s a bold statement I get that, But there is nothing…NOTHING…N.O.T.H.I.N.G. bad I can say about this tank, So if fan reviews make you angry, if you’re one of ‘those’ people that think ‘He’s totally licking Heavengifts arse’…then look away…I have not a solitary fuck to give you…not even the slightest aroma of one, (ew) The rest of this review will sound like a 12 year old boy having a chance meeting with Beyonce …only with less of an adolescent chubby…well…slightly less…I have warned you…look away.

The Package

The first 2 questions you’re probably asking yourself are…‘Is that a case?’…and…‘Is that it’s own stand?’ …yes and yes to both those questions, From the moment you open the rather attractive cardboard box you are greeted with a relentless tirade of vape hornyness that just doesn’t seem to want to stop…ever…insatiable almost.

zzzzzzzzzzzzip…lob…thud.

!

You’ll have to forgive the fact that in my excitement to try this thing I had already built on it before taking a picture of the complete package…but regardless…how’s that for presentation.

You get the very heavy and perfectly machined RDTA stand brandishing Dejavu’s logo, The RDTA itself displayed out separately, A spare Ultem drip tip…which…you probably won’t use due to the fact the SS one is so utterly beautiful, spare glass and a very odd looking plastic screw cylinder full of O’s, spare screws, and an allen key, the cylinder incidentally…can be used to transport your RDTA without fear of it dripping all over your new camo hard zip case…(it never leaks btw)…because it too…is rather nice…Shit I thought the Triade was well displayed…gtfo…THIS was made for vapers…by someone who is obsessed with vaping.

The build quality is like nothing I have seen before, Each piece meticulously machined to a flawless standard from top to bottom, There was not a single scratch on any part that shouldn’t be there, And not the slightest hint of machine oil.

The build deck

The build deck…oh the build deck…a picture says a thousand words…4 pictures however…well…that’ll be…4…thousand…words…??

tumblr_maehylcxfp1r3nkzc

Perfection.

The deck itself appears to be powder coated or something, can’t find any details on that but it almost looks like teflon?..pretty sure it’s not but hey…wouldn’t be infeasible, The posts however are gold plated and as you can see have a very unique hole layout enabling you to build…well…whatever the fuck you want pretty much, All three holes are independently screwed and it doesn’t matter if you have level post legs or conventional… these posts cater for all configurations…I guess I was…kinda lazy…

Building on it is easy peasy lemon fucking squeezy…once you’ve decided how exactly you’re gonna go about it anyway, endless options. The hex grub screws are …yes you’ve guessed it…perfectly threaded …and not a single slip or grind was present throughout the whole process.

Wicking is straight forward as you would expect, Take your end…push it in the hole and juice her up…

One thing worthy of mentioning as is the case with all RDTA’s, They work way better if you cut the wicks short, Don’t let them dangle into the bottom of the juice well or you will choke your tails, Pull them through and just trim them underneath so they poke through a couple of mm.

Money shot!

The tank

Now…for those that are thinking…‘it’s only 2ml’ …There’s a very good reason for it, Yes it’s kind of inconvenient but that’s not what this tank is about, Because it’s been designed by a vaper who’s mindset is pretty much on par with most of us serial flavour chasers, The capacity is purposefully low so that you go through it quickly and stick a different flavour in there…because…that’s what most of us do, we don’t vape the same flavour for very long because we have so damn many of em so this…for me personally …is perfect…again…

Incidentally filling the tank is one of the best methods I have ever come across, It’s a bit like the old Ijoy RDTA 5 (not the 5s) where as you fill via the SPRINGLOADED centre post…yes…springloaded…you just press your bottle in and it engages the tank, It’s a very light spring too so it incredibly easy to use.

The Airflow & Flavour

Like I mentioned earlier the airflow is both bottom and side, The bottom is not adjustable, and comes up through the side via 2 vents on each side and splits into 2 pipes directly under the coils…

The side however is adjustable…and this is dealt with by 2 small triangles on either side adjusted via the inner sleeve which is held in place by a single O ring, Just snug enough to turn smoothly and not too loose that the top cap would come off if you picked up your mod by the atty…do I need to say ‘perfect’ again…

With the side airflow completely closed off the bottom airflow is still more than adequate for an unrestricted pull, And of course being bottom airflow you are getting a shit ton of flavour this way…and when I say flavour…I mean FLAVOUR…it is off the fucking charts, I would even go as far as to say better than any 24 or 25mm RDA I have in my collection…yes I said RDA…and I very much include both my Goon and my Tsunami in that statement…yes…I went there…build a bridge and get over it… Everything on the Dejavu is on point for a flavour machine, from the perfect bottom airflow to the domed top cap…

And speaking of the domed top cap…

When I said it was well machined…

1a

You could see your face in it and even eat a meal off it it’s that clean and smooth…if you ate…really…small meals…and had…a really small head…

i_have_no_idea_what_i_m_talking_about

The side airflow however…as small as it is…does make a difference if you want to throw thick plumes but as you can see for yourself…the emphasis is very much on the bottom…

The Vape is smooth, full bodied and just about every other expletive you can think of that best describes a fucking awesome experience…and not only am I going to post this list of specs with a grin like the Cheshire cat…but I’m gonna read the fucker…WITH INTEREST.

The final thoughts

Okkkkkk…here goes, The Dejavu RDTA is quite simply the best piece of vaping hardware that I have ever reviewed, The way it’s presented, The package you get, The way it looks, The way it’s made, The way it performs makes any other RDTA on the market inferior, flawed, sub par…it doesn’t even leak!..I stood my mod upside down overnight and there was not a single drop underneath it the next morning and nor did I have even the slightest hint of a dry hit…ever…

The flavour is better than anything I have had thus far, The airflow is spot on, The deck is easy to build on with a plethora of options available to you and I just can’t stop taking pictures of the fucking thing…I dare say if I had a pencil and pad right now I would be drawing it like one of my french girls…

It’s also available in 2 colours, Black with an aluminium body which apparently stays cooler although I haven’t experienced any undue heat issues with the SS…and SS…in a…SS body…obv…(go for the SS)

Adrian Lo Dejavu has knocked this thing out of the park, Apparently he went through a shed load of prototypes before settling on this design and I for one am glad that he didn’t settle for one of the former models because I fail to see how this could be improved in any way at all… and I envision…in the very near future…

b82cd5cb8067ef6396b2d5f0a4d10377a99ee30566496d96cd7766c72f38ce15

And don’t be surprised to see an upsurge of Tanks and RDA’s being presented in their very own zip cases too, It will take an average sized mod, your tank and a few bottles of juice, The bar has been raised ladies and gentlemen, The race has been won…and if they ever make a 30mm version of this thing… I think I might just faint…

GIF-fuck-yeah-excited--Aw-yeah-Yeah-GIFthis

No of course it’s not cheap, but I tell you something else…it’s wayyy cheaper than it could of been, and for those of you about to part with your hard earned on an Authentic Goon…put the brakes on your purse strings…528 don’t deserve your custom anyway, Adrian Lo Dejavu does, because he’s given us something special and as close to ‘Perfect’ as I have ever seen in this crazy misty world of ours.

Pink Lemonade

I used to be able to buy 100ml pink lemonade eliquid from the local shop (it was my adv ) which made it themselves however they wouldn’t give the recipe. I’m trying to recreate it myself. I already tried a basic recipe of lemonade (FW) and strawberry ripe which was absolutely horrible. I am certain the lemonade used in the original was not FW. The e liquid i’m trying to create could be considered more of a lucozade type of lemonade. The flavour west flavor i found was VERY natural lemon rather than the type that would be used in lucozade. The eliquid was sweet and also had a sour and fizz taste. This shop i used to get it from sold many of their own mixes, one of which i’m 90% sure was the unicorn milk recipe on this site with maybe a slight alteration therfore I’m thinking this recipe could be ELEMENT Pink Lemonade clone by micah. I have just ordered the ingredients for that recipe minus the vanilla swirl (out of stock). Can someone that has tried that reciepe tell me if it’s like i described?

Wotofo Flow Prebuilt Coil Tank Review

$

@JoJo wrote:

I won this Wotofo Flow tank from a @Heaven_Gifts giveaway and I figure you guys might wanna know what I think. I’m not a reviewer, so try to bear with me. This will likely be pretty random and sorry for the less-than-professional photos.

First, go here to look at all the lovely things like pics, description, specs, etc.:
https://www.heavengifts.com/product/WOTOFO-FLOW-SUBTANK.html

Boring stuff:

It looks like it does in the pictures (of which there are many lovely ones on the website, so go look). I have the SS one and I’m using it on my VT133. Looks pretty nice, very silvery. It is shorter than the tanks I’m used to (Crowns and Aromamizer). About the same height and width as the Kylin. Which, according to the specs, is 24 x 40mm.

Pic with my other current setups (Crown 3 on the Tardis, OG Crown on a VTC mini) for reference:

The box, which was really pretty, had the tank with a preinstalled 0.25 coil and silicone plug (that I immediately removed cuz it’s stupid and I’m guessing a TPD thing), an extra glass, and an extra 0.25 coil. Under the foamy stuff was a ‘manual’ in a dozen or so languages, a little baggy thing with some o-rings, and a card for some sort of Wotofo giveaway that I didn’t care enough to bother reading about. The drip tip is one of those short and fat ones that everyone seems to love.

Back on the plug for a second. It took a minute to figure out I had to pry the glass off the top to get the plug out and that took some serious elbow grease. But, not nearly as difficulty as getting the OG Crown apart to get at the glass. Washed the tank out and primed the coil, which had an interesting little meshy thing on top of it for reasons unknown. The first tank was my usual new tank liquid, @therabidweasel’s Pearvana. It’s yummy and it always does a good job of incorporating and masking that new cotton flavor…which this tank had PLENTY of at first. It took about a tank and a half for the coil to break in and stop tasting like a mix of cotton and plastic.

Fun stuff:

Once broken in, wow. I may be in love and this tank could possible de-throne the Crown for prebuilt coils if the coil lasts a decent amount of time. I’m guessing the shorter tank makes for a more flavorful vape or something like that. It’s got flavor in spades and vapor production is pretty great. I’ve got the VT133 set at 40W, 450F, SS mode and its reading the coil at 0.32. It’s a warm and slightly juicy vape, a tad bit of spitting but not as much as I sometimes get from the original Crown. The coil seems to wick well—three decent pulls didn’t result in a decrease in vapor (no TC kicking in) or burning, but it gave me a nice little buzz! :stuck_out_tongue: Air flow is comparable to the OG Crown closed one click. If you’re used to something that feels totally unrestricted, this will feel tight. Definitely less airy than the original Aromamizer or Kylin when they’re fully opened.

Things I don’t like:

  • The shortness of the drip tip means my lips touch the top of the tank and with the knurling thing going on up there it’s kinda awkward. Not a deal breaker; I like the drip tip but I can always put a taller one on it if I decide it bothers me too much.
  • Big con one is that there’s NOT any knurling on the AFC and that makes the thing basically impossible to turn when it’s on the mod. I’ve left it open when refilling without any trouble and I’m hoping that holds out. To close the AFC to refill, I had to unscrew the tank a little to get a good grip on it.
  • Big con two is that, like the Crown 3 and Kylin, it doesn’t fully empty—there’s a largish drop of juice that doesn’t get sucked in to the juice holes.

Flavor: 5/5 - After the coil break in, it’s as good or better than anything I’ve had yet (which admittedly isn’t a ton). I think part of that is how wet it vapes, if that makes any sense.
Vapor: 3.5/5 - More than the two Crowns, less than the Mizer or Kylin and probably less than a dripper with a beefy cloud comp build.
Ease of Use: 3.5/5 - Harder to get the top off than the Crown but not as hard as the Kylin. The AFC really sucks. Prebuilt coils were easy enough to prime and everything went together without me feeling like I was trying to assemble one of those 3D jigsaw puzzles.

Overall, if it holds up, I’d likely buy another, especially if they released it in more colors. I’ll update later with more info on how long the coil lasts. So far, five fills over two days.
